So I’m known at my house for making quesadillas, just not the normal ones you expect. I mean I can make them also, it’s just I tend to be a little more inventive. It started when my sister introduced the pizza quesadilla. I slowly began creating new versions of this mexican classic. Now, my favorite kind of food is Italian. The two were dying to be crossed.
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Shredded Six Cheese Italian Blend (Most grocery stores sell some type of this bagged goodness. We use different brands all the time)
- Whole Wheat Tortillas
- (some nonstick spray)
Spray down you flat pan surface with the nonstick spray and lay down your tortilla. Layer and mix all the cheese with your hands (you want it covered, but not so thick that it won’t melt). Tear up and scatter prosciutto ham all over and turn on the burner medium/low. Heat till the cheese starts to melt. Then add the other tortilla and press down on it so it’ll stick to the cheese. Flip and wait till cheese is melted through. Cut and serve!
