There is snow all over the northern US, but as the blog title suggest I am not up north and there is definitely not snow.  Instead we are getting near the end of falls colors. This beautiful Japanese Maple in my back yard has always been one of my favorites. It’s not all red yet, but it will be in a few days or a week.

I’ve been so sick that I don’t feel like I’ve gotten to have a fall, or summer for that matter, so even something as simple as wandering into the backyard with a camera makes my day a little brighter. You don’t realize how much you go outside till you don’t feel well enough to be there. I will tell you, I need more bareback trail rides in my near future, even if I can’t go on a hike anytime soon.
