OOTD: T-Shirt Dresses and Magnolia Trees

I’ve been on the look out for a good t-shirt dress for what feels like forever. All the ones I seem to find are too tight and form fitting. Then I stumbled across this one while shopping with a friend. I actually bought it with Christmas money I had been hoarding in the back pocket of my wallet. I guess I was just waiting on the right thing!

After I purchased it I went to the brands website and bought a tank dress along with a swing tank for the brand as well. It just all fit that well!

A Fashion Magazine with Substance:

It’s magazine season- well I read them year round, but something about airplane rides for summer traveling and laying out really makes me need them when it’s hottest.

I love just about any paper publication if I’m being honest (electronic ones too- bloggers don’t fear). But flipping through something is just such a rewarding feeling. My main problem? I don’t feel our current magazines always hold a lot of substance- mainly, fashion magazines. I don’t want to lose thirty pounds in two weeks (that doesn’t sound healthy) and I don’t want to read another article about which clothes fit my body type when there, are in fact, more than five body types.

It’s hard to find in the current market, at least in the mainstream. Fashion blogs are great for inspiration, but I want more points of views. I just want real articles in my magazines… is that too much to ask?

OOTD: High Waisted Shorts & Royal Blue

(Top: LOFT // Shorts: Forever 21 // Sandals: Target)

It’s been a wild few weeks here at the end of the semester, so I’m sorry I haven’t been super frequent. The good (and exciting) news is that today I finished my last day of college courses ever. Now all I have are some virtual assignment submissions standing between me and graduation… oh and that big presentation tomorrow.. but classes? Yep, they’re over for good! Someone asked me if it was bittersweet. I was happy to report that at this point it’s just sweet. On to the next thing–

OOTD: What You Wear when it’s 72 in December

bbbbb

(Jeans: Forever 21 // Boots: Kenneth Cole // Top: Banana Republic

Everyone around me is really bummed about this warm weather around Christmas but I’m in love. I hate the cold and always have, I dread winter, one of the many reasons I love the south. And while it was weird to get my Christmas tree in short sleeves I will say I love being able to walk around comfortably to look at the Christmas lights outside. (We have a little magnolia tree outside our house that I decorated and it looks so good I’ll have to do it next year as well.) Plus, it’s already really really rare for us to get a white Christmas, even if the weather had been colder we probably wouldn’t of had one, so nothing is lost.

And when it comes to dressing, I’ve always loved wearing tank tops with jeans and boots, but I hardly get to do it because the weather window is really small. So here we go. I should have brought more spring tops home.

Fashion: Campus on the Rainy Days

Button Down: Target // Hunter Rainboots: Costco // Skater Skirt: Target

I know, the Hunter boots are from Costco! They were sized wrong and somehow filtered into one of the stores where my mom snatched up this pair for closer to $70 rather than the $120 and up range. It was one of those things that you just couldn’t have planned. They are a savior for rainy days on campus, even more so because the brick paths tend to collect puddles.
