It’s only been five months since I’ve done an outfit of the day post. I’d like to say that I have had some cute outfits since then, it was just that the fashion posts were getting a lot more traction than all my other posts and I really didn’t want this to be a fashion blog. Still, they are fun on occasion and I figured what better way to do a “my first week at work” update than with some business casual threads.

It’s been a wild few weeks here at the end of the semester, so I’m sorry I haven’t been super frequent. The good (and exciting) news is that today I finished my last day of college courses ever. Now all I have are some virtual assignment submissions standing between me and graduation… oh and that big presentation tomorrow.. but classes? Yep, they’re over for good! Someone asked me if it was bittersweet. I was happy to report that at this point it’s just sweet. On to the next thing–

A Loft(y) Wishlist:

Well, my outfit of the day posts are almost a walking Loft advertisement so you guys have to know by now that it’s one of my favorite stores. I love the laid back looks, simple lines, and good colors the store always offers. And I have good news, they are having a huge sale (it ends today so go go GO). I of course had to take advantage of it, putting anything and everything into my cart. Even with the sale my budget protested, so here are the three items that ended up in my final shopping cart:

OOTD: Croissants in Paris or Homework in NC?

Top: H&M // Jeans: LOFT // Boots: Hunter ab

It’s really rare to see me in pants that aren’t navy or black- even though I live in jeans and colored jeans have been big over the past decade. With that being said, I found these last week and can’t get enough of them, because, well, they’re blue enough to look more traditional, and muted enough to not jump down your throat. I own a pair of maroon ones that I don’t wear too super often because I feel like they’re pretty loud (which I know they aren’t- I still haven’t figured out why I feel this way).

On a side note I own way to many striped tops. This one is from about five years ago- but details, details. I haven’t killed it just yet. The Hunters were a bargain of a lifetime and the best rain boots I’ve ever owned. They also have some clay on them in these pictures from my ceramics class I’m taking this semester. I didn’t notice that till I was cropping them. My bad!
