Hey y’all, I lied in that last post when I said I was almost better, because here we are two weeks later and I’m finally trying to say it again. Let’s hope it’s true this time- I’ve been fighting Lyme Disease for four months now. It’s a really really terrible illness, full of painful body and joint aches, high fevers, exhaust, dizzy spells, nausea, oh, yeah and those sinus infections I had. So, I’m really praying that we’re done with that now.

I figured I must feel better, because I took time to put makeup on today, which hasn’t happened all summer. And my mom has stopped asking me what I need every five minutes, which means she thinks I’m well enough to get it myself.

But anyways, more outfit details below, because you can’t see much of it from the overall shot!

OOTD: The Dress of my Dreams

IMG_4802( Dress: Anthropologie // Sandals: Target // Earrings: Gift)

Do you ever find a item of clothing that you love with everything in you… but then you look at the price and are reminded why you never go into that store to begin with. It happens about every time I walk into Anthropologie. I love, love, love the store, but I can’t really afford it. But I go in anyways, and this time I was in luck, because I was armed with small gift card and graced with a sweet sales lady who let me use my birthday month discount even though it was the month after my birthday month.

It was still more than I should spent, and as I swiped my card I had second thoughts. Yet I brought it home and when I put it on for the first time I realized that I had a great piece that I probably would always be in love with. I wore it to a business meeting and I’ll wear it to go get dinner with the girls. So maybe I didn’t make such a bad choice after all. After all everyone’s all about the slow fashion movement now and making bigger purchases that will last. Maybe it’s time for me to completely get on board with that.

OOTD: Blue Jeans in 100 Degrees

I was going to name this outfit of the day “Girls night out” or something along those lines. But when I stepped outside to take the picture and then go to my girls night, I realized that I had just put on dark blue jeans in the 100 degree heat. Maybe not my best move, but hey, I didn’t want to wear a skirt and I can’t get into the heels with shorts trend.

OOTD: T-Shirt Dresses and Magnolia Trees

I’ve been on the look out for a good t-shirt dress for what feels like forever. All the ones I seem to find are too tight and form fitting. Then I stumbled across this one while shopping with a friend. I actually bought it with Christmas money I had been hoarding in the back pocket of my wallet. I guess I was just waiting on the right thing!

After I purchased it I went to the brands website and bought a tank dress along with a swing tank for the brand as well. It just all fit that well!

It’s been a wild few weeks here at the end of the semester, so I’m sorry I haven’t been super frequent. The good (and exciting) news is that today I finished my last day of college courses ever. Now all I have are some virtual assignment submissions standing between me and graduation… oh and that big presentation tomorrow.. but classes? Yep, they’re over for good! Someone asked me if it was bittersweet. I was happy to report that at this point it’s just sweet. On to the next thing–

This was my winter concert wear this past weekend. I haven’t put on these jeans in a while because they say they’re a size two- which I’m not. Luckily I tried them on just for the hell of it. Turns out they run big. I feel like they’ll be great around Christmas. They’re colored for this season! Do you guys have anything fun planned? This year will be the first Christmas we’ve done without my sister here, so that’ll be strange.

The weathers been a little back and forth but with the amount of rain we’ve had and are planning to get I think that there’s a big possibility for a white Christmas. I’m not holding my breath, because in North Carolina they’re not all too common. We’ll see though! (and I’d rather snow than all this rain)

Top: H&M // Jeans: LOFT // Boots: Hunter ab

It’s really rare to see me in pants that aren’t navy or black- even though I live in jeans and colored jeans have been big over the past decade. With that being said, I found these last week and can’t get enough of them, because, well, they’re blue enough to look more traditional, and muted enough to not jump down your throat. I own a pair of maroon ones that I don’t wear too super often because I feel like they’re pretty loud (which I know they aren’t- I still haven’t figured out why I feel this way).

On a side note I own way to many striped tops. This one is from about five years ago- but details, details. I haven’t killed it just yet. The Hunters were a bargain of a lifetime and the best rain boots I’ve ever owned. They also have some clay on them in these pictures from my ceramics class I’m taking this semester. I didn’t notice that till I was cropping them. My bad!
